Paradise island 2 forum8/26/2023 ![]() We were able to find one elevator outside by the Royal Bath's pool area. The inside and outside of Atlantis do not accomdate strollers or wheelchairs. So bring things for your kids to do while you wait. We were with a large group but it was a wedding party so they knew we were coming and we still had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to be seated (and we weren't seated together). Also since you have little ones make your dinner reservations as early as possible before you go. I packed about 20 bottles of water in our suitcase, and all her food from home, but again i knew we'd have the facilities at Harborside. I imagine Royal Towers would be able to get you a refridgerator in your room for a fee. The refridgerator in the room, as well as dishwasher made it so much easier. We stayed at Harborside and I am SO glad we did. I just returend from the Atlantis with my 9 month old daughter. it was raining, but if your kids are fussy then bring umbrellas or raincoats. It doesn't seem to bother anybody there, as nobody left the beach bec. One last thing to know is that it rains pretty much every day for a about 10 minutes at a time. We gave her a tip of $20.Īnother smart thing that I did was bring one of those baby tubes that the baby can sit in on her own so we were able to take her into the water (even though I did not let go of her tube for a second, at least I didn't have to hold her) I actually saw one of the local stores selling those big yellow tubes.Īnother thing, the straw market, even though its hard to go through with a stroller, its not a big deal as eveyone makes room for you to go through and once you go through one of the aisles, you've pretty much seen all that there is, (my humble opinion is that the straw market is quite ugly). If you are going to go on a boat trip/snorkeling trip definitely go with "Barefoot Sailing." The take a sail boat out so its nice and relaxing (for some reason, I'd be afraid to take little ones on a speed boat like the other companies offer) Eryn, the owner, was really helpful when I made reservations and her daughter who came along on the trip watched my baby while my husband and I went into the water to snorkel, we were close enough to the boat to keep checking up on them so that worked out well. ![]() We just got back from our short 3 day vacation and I must say, the place is brimming with kids! Looks like everybody's taking advantage of the summer break and going to the bahamas! Hope some of that helps! Enjoy your vacation!! Also that pool is probably 10-15 degrees cooler than the other "bathtub" pools and you actually feel refreshed in it. Though that first pool that you pass by is VERY busy because it has most of the water slides there. You almost don't realize there's anything beyond the challenger slides and it's not that busy. If pass the Mayan Temple where the 2 slides come out walk around that pool on your left to where the challenger slides come out and continue around. Other suggestions is to use the pool at the Royal Towers for the children, my 4yr old cousin absolutely loved it, unfortunately we didn't find it until 2 days before leaving. They never charged for my 4 yr old nephew. The one plus is that both children will eat free at the restaurants. The same for the food, though since your children are young enough I wouldn't worry too much about it, but do bring enough snacks from home. We just got back last week and you'll probably have a hard time with the stroller as she said due to the numerous stairs (especially if you're staying in the Royal Towers to get to the pools and beach). We fill it with ice and drinks and bring it out by the pool by us. We even put in our suitcase a small cooler. ![]() There is a shopping center across the street from the Coral Towers lobby where you can buy stuff, but it's still less expensive to bring things from home. The other benefit is that you'll save money on buying lunch. Bring juice boxes and whatever treats your kids like. those with kids: Bring LOTS of snacks from HOME !! I would recommend a suitcase (the size depending on how long you'll be at the resort). He would love to see the gorgeous flower beds, waterfalls, etc., but it would be a disaster trying to manuever him around. I'm very aware of this as my father is wheelchair bound. Usually one parent takes the kid out of the stroller and carries him, while the other parent carries the stroller up and down. Lots of steps and little bridges everywhere. First - the outdoor grounds of the Atlantis is NOT stroller (or wheelchair) friendly. We don't have any children, but I still think I can give you some advice. NJAREETODD: My husband and I have been to the Atlantis 6 times.
